From the entire Articles team, we want to that every single one of you who backed, watched, shared, streamed, commented, liked, subscribed, and generally had our backs on this project. We are super excited to have funded so well and are all looking forward to getting to work on the book and tarot deck—after a bit of a rest, of course. You can look forward to more tactical updates in the coming weeks and months, but for now, let us all celebrate what we have done together.

One housekeeping note though: PLEASE make sure your payment methods are up to date and that your pledge goes through. If you have an error, you have about 7 days to correct it. After that, your pledge will be lost and none of us want that. If you have any issues on this front, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Final 48 & Campaign Kickoff

Hello backers, followers, and everyone else! We're about to hit the 48-hour mark indicating the final two days of the campaign. We have hit our funding goal and are well on our way to hitting the stretch goal to fund DOUBLE the tarot art. I can't explain to you how excited we all are. We have an added bit of excitement because, if we fund a full deck, this will be our editor Jon's VERY FIRST tarot deck. This has to happen, y'all. Help Jon get his first deck! If you haven't already, please consider sharing the project with all your friends, family, and social spaces.

Campaign Announcement

If you are reading this the day it is posted, then you have an opportunity to watch the beginning of a brand new campaign based entirely on Articles of the Arcana. Called "In Search of an Exit", this campaign will be a regular, long-form game exploring everything that is Troika and tarot. Mark your calendars and head over to twitch.tv/ted_pk at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT for the kick off. You can also follow Teddy on Twitter to get updates.

Tarot Deck Mock Ups

Hello everyone! First and foremost: THANK YOU! We are almost 70% of the way to our initial funding goal and over 50% of the way to the stretch goal to get a full deck of art. This is huge! The whole team here is extremely grateful for your support!

Today we have a first-look at the mock up for the tarot deck box and card back, created by our cover artist Ignacio Paul and following the striking cosmic themes of the cover. I love all the little details here and the bright colors on the card backs really stand out. I can't wait to add this to my shelf!

As a reminder, you can add a physical tarot deck to your physical book order by choosing one of the new reward tiers, or you can add a physical tarot deck to any order by choosing it from the Kickstarter add on menu. Please check out the previous update if you need help with that process, or feel free to message me. 

In other news, we're also in talks with several groups to do actual plays or otherwise feature Articles of the Arcana content in the coming weeks. We'll be posting about that here, or you can follow me @mrmatthew on Twitter if you'd like to get up-to-the-minute updates on those developments.

Friends Who Roll Dice - Wed. 11/4 @ 4pm PDT

In the world premier one-shot of Articles of the Arcana content, the Friends Who Roll Dice have graciously invited background artist Bri de Dannan and editor Jon Boyle to join Sam and Bram as they explore a variety of Articles content. Players will be portraying new Backgrounds and the game will be facilitated by none other than the writer of Articles, Matthew Gravelyn. We'll be showcasing a campaign session prompt from the book as well, so players and GMs alike should tune in for an amazing look at what's in the book put into action. Updates to Cards & Art

Hello everyone! Thank you to all our backers for getting us to 80% funded this week. We're feeling really confident about hitting our funding goal, and hopeful that we'll get up to that stretch goal to unlock a full tarot deck. You can help us get there by sharing the project with friends, whether they are interested in RPGs or tarot. We got something for everyone! Now, on to the update!

New Card Faces

It's been a bit of a journey here! When we started, we were just producing "cards" to use as art in a book. Now that we've started working on producing a physical deck, we had to start thinking about how the backs and faces play together. To that end, we've incorporated Ignacio's amazing border design and font choice onto the front of the cards, creating a more cohesive feel. The cards are now edge-to-edge art with a slick border. Check them out:

New Cards = New Art

Along with updating the card faces to get ready for printing physical cards, we're updating them for the art prints as well. These prints will still be 5x7 but feature the new card style. I think these are going to look even better and can't wait to hang them on my wall. If you'd like to add these prints to your reward, just edit your pledge and add them using the Kickstarter add on feature. You can add any 1 print for $10 or all 5 for just $40.

My next task is to (hopefully today) get an early version of the book to several content creators to start planning some actual play sessions of the Articles of the Arcana content.
